This is Jake in a tree. He was out playing with his friends and I sent him a text and ask what he was doing and this is the picture that I got back. He told me that well he was climbing trees and even sent me a picture just in case I didn't believe him. He has quite the sense of Humor ( he really is quick and funny).

This is Jake an Justin actually being nice to each other for a minute. These minutes are few and far between but when they happen they are sweet.

Easy like Sunday Morning......

Well for once we get to take it easy today we are just laying around the house chillin' which is great we have been so busy the past couple of months we need a day off. We postponed our trip to Alabama Adventure because Jake and Justin were feeling a little under the weather yesterday and last night so a day off for everyone is needed. It would be great if I could just lay on the couch all day but Justin will not let that happen so I am sitting here at the computer messing around and doing laundry (yeah).
Things are going great here I love my new job, Jake is doing well in school, and surprisingly so is Justin.
Anyway I am going to try and lay on the couch a bit and read my new book. It is the 3rd in the Eragon set. The book is sooo much better than the movie and the 2nd book was good so I got the new one last night and can't wait to start it. So that is what is on my table today trying to read and doing laundry (yeah). I will post again soon I usually have time in the afternoons to post at work because we are kind of slow (sometimes real slow). Talk to ya later.

Just working!

I am just sitting around here at work and thought that I would post a little. We went and got Jake his birthday present last night (one of many) but we took him and let him pick out a nice bike. His other one was getting to small. We are going to brave the weather this weekend and go to an amusement park on the other side of Birmingham it even has a water park. However it makes me mad that I can't ride anything because of my neck. I have a terrible headache right now. I just hope it is not like the fair last week I really had a bad headache then (almost migraine status!) anyway I was miserable.
Things are going good here Jake is making all A's as usual (that makes me so proud!!!) and Justin has not been kicked out of pre-school so that is great (his teacher said that he has been really good! I am not sure what she has done with my child but I wish that she would send that one home).
My mother fell like 2 weeks ago and broke her shoulder (like she needs anymore problems) so now she has to have therapy.
Gotta go I will write again later when I remember!!

SKUNKS ANYONE???

Of all the things in the world I would have never guessed that my 2 large dogs would get sprayed by a SKUNK! Why you may ask? Well because we live in the city, in a development where all the fences meet and did I mention that YES we live in the city! A large city! We lived on top of a mountain in the woods in Pennsylvania on 12 acres where my dogs just ran free all the time but now that they are city dogs they get sprayed by a skunk and it is terrible (believe me it really is terrible!). It was about 2:15a.m. Wednesday morning and I could not sleep so I got up, got a drink (just some juice) and then went into my fenced backyard to smoke and it happened. My Dalmatian charged it and the Doberman followed her. I thought it was a cat because it was dark and all I could see was the cute white fluffy parts and I knew that a cat could get away before they could get her so I was not worried. Then Lex (Dalmatian) ran over to me coughing, snotting, throwing up and stinking! I jumped up and ran into the house to tell my hubby and the nasty, nasty smell followed me. Hubby began gagging immediately (he even tried to sleep in the van for a couple of hours and that didn't work). It was horrible! Needless to say they had to stay outside the rest of the night and all the next day (cause I work full time days now). The poor things thought that they had died and gone to HELL!! My dogs are a little spoiled so they don't know how to lay anywhere but on the couch and on top of smelling like a rotten dead decaying animal they actually had to lay on the ground. Anyway, Skunks do not smell the same fresh as they do when you smell them on the side of the road. The worst part is you CAN NOT get rid of the smell. I have always heard that you should use tomato juice (or paste) but after some research online we found out it doesn't work that you should use baking soda and peroxide mixed with water. However this can cause bleaching of the fur so now I am going to have a red, bleached blonde, redneck Doberman! GREAT! JUST GREAT!
I have given them like 5 baths (outside of course) to get rid of the smell and guess what!! It still did not work! The smell is tolerable but you can defiantly still smell it.

So this is what I have been doing all week! The dogs are in the house but the are restricted to the kitchen cause I don't want the furniture to stink.
I have had a rough week and I will try and write again this weekend but I am so tired cause I have been really busy this week with the dogs and work and everything in between.

By the way Jake is turning 10 tomorrow (the 6th) and I just can't believe that my little baby is in double digits now!

It Happened AGAIN

Me and my Mom were trying to do a good deed. My stepsister did not have a birthday party for her 6 going on 7 year old daughter but had a huge party for her 3yo girl a few weeks ago. No one likes to be around the 7 yo because she is very over weight. Anyway me and my mom felt really bad for her and were having her a little party at my house with pizza, cake, some presents and swimming. We (me and mom) had to go and pick up the pizza we got about 1 1/2 miles from the house at a stop sign! and got rear ended AGAIN. This is the second time in 8 months for me. And the crazy lady hit us once and then hit us again a few seconds later (I had time to say "What the HELL" and she hit us again). At least this is NOT a no fault state (like Pennsylvania) she will be responsible for everything. Needless to say I fell like I have been hit by a truck again and the lower part of my tummy is killing me from the seat belt and I am not even going to get in to trying to tell ya how my back feels!!! I guess that is what we get for trying to do something nice!

To top all that off the 7yo was really RUDE an ungrateful!!! She complained about all the presents she got and cause we got the wrong kind of cake (white not chocolate) I was quick to tell her that was not very nice. After all that we will not be doing that again.

I need to go and lay down cause I feel awful I will try to post again later.

New Glasses

I am trying to find Jake new glasses and it is a pain in the booty..... we are trying to get 2 pair in case one breaks cause he needs them all the time he can't see. Anyway it is so hard to find a good deal and someone that takes our insurance. Why do things have to be so hard!!!

New Look!!!

I got so tired of the dark background so I made a few changes. I hope I like this better if not I will play around again. I am not good enough for all that fancy stuff but this is better I think!

Dead End

I am at a dead end with my mother and have no idea what to do! I love my mom very much (like everybody else) but can't get her to help herself, she has many medical problems and I understand that but she does nothing to help. She is on insulin and about 20 other meds and weighs about 125lbs over weight yet she still drinks tons of sweet tea (we CAN NOT even ride down the road without having to stop and get one), eats sweets (any and everything) and then gets mad or upset when I point it out and try to help. We (DH and kids) walk every night and we finally got her to join in we started her out small and was gradually moving it up further and further and that lasted about 2 weeks. It really upsets me that she does not seem to care and just sits in her recliner ALL the time (like she is afraid it will get cold (yeah the chair) I mean she does absolutely nothing). I hate to give up on her and let her die young but I am at a dead end. Please if anyone has advice on this key me in!

On a happy note things are going well around here. School starts back next week (on the 6th way to early if you ask me) and Justin starts preschool on the 19th. I am not going to know what to do with myself having time with NO kids!

I really miss hearing from the few that actually read my blog and left post maybe it is because of our situation and I did not post for awhile but I am back and will post often, like I said I want have anything to do all by myself.

I am so proud of ME!!!! I have lost almost 40lbs!!!! I still pretty much eat what I want only less of it. I just walk every night sometimes only a few blocks and sometimes 2 or 3 miles (we walked a long way tonight). I am so HAPPY I have dropped about 3 pant sizes. I haven't been this small in years!!! I still have about 20-30lbs to go and then I get to go buy a new wardrobe.

Bedtime for the kids so I will post again soon.

Wellllll......and peeing in the park

OK well we still have the binkies (unfortunately). I feel terrible taking them (yes I said them he has to have 2! one to suck on and one to sniff! I am not sure why he sniffs the binkies but he does and he loves it). I know that he will hate me forever if I take them. I can see him cutting the heads off all his toys and trying to torture small animals. Just kidding but I do think that he will be scared for life. I am still VERY open to ideas!



Well things have been going pretty well here, except for a few things here and there as usual. We have started walking every night and it is nice quite family time with NO TV or phones and we are losing weight. I am really happy about that! We finally got my Mom who has many health problems out of her recliner to walk with us. I am so PROUD of her! We started her out small and are moving up the distance every week or so. We usually walk 2 miles or so.



I am not sure what to even write about I guess that I will tell you about the life of my 3 year old. We took him to a water park last week that was kind of big as we were walking around we noticed that he had fallen behind so we turned around and there he was taking a leak right in the middle of this water park...... well he could not stop right in midstream so we had to let him finish. This is what happens if you let them pee anywhere when you are trying to potty train (we did live on a mountain). That is really embarrassing. Then this morning I got in the car to leave and backed right over his bike man I was ticked it scratched my van (the new one that I got in Oct that got hit before my first payment) and bent his bike of course grandma told him that she would buy him a new even though he didn't put it away like he was told. I think that I need to start writing down all the funny stuff that he does because I can't remember when I sit down to write about it.



Justin also LOVES motorcycles it is kind of funny because every time we see the one that are built for speed he calls them crotch rockets and gets so excited. My husband has a small one that he takes Justin for rides on and you almost can't get him off. He sits on it and knows how to insert the key, start it and rev the engine. He can also use the blinkers and lights and as soon as he can reach the clutch I bet he is going to try and take it for a joy ride!

End of the binkie (MAYBE)

I am trying to decide how to take Justin's binkie. Can anyone give me some input on the best way to do this. My husband and I are at odds about how it should be done. He wants to do it slowly ( a little at a time) and I want to just take them all at once (throw them in the trash and that is that). I really don't want to traumatize him for life but he is going to be 4 in November.

So please give me some ideas.

Chill'n out in the pool

Today is a beautiful hot Monday morning in Alabama. It was so nice that the boys started beating on me to let them in the pool around 8 a.m. I did manage to hold them off until about 10 and stayed in till Noon. I took the time to play some video games. I don't play very often so when I get the chance and I am in the mood I enjoy it. I have been hooked on the Pirates of the Caribbean game. I beat it a while back and got in the mood again recently to play so it was nice to have a little free time.

This is not a very good picture because I took it with my cell phone but it is ok. This is a small pool 8 feet by 30 inches deep but it is big enough for them to cool off and have a little FUN and stay out of my hair for a while (or at least until they start fighting over toys and I am not sure why because we have 2 of all the pool toys just different colors).

Well It is Justin's nap time and trust me he REALLY gets nasty so I will try and write again later tonight.

We Are Alive!!! and well

Well I just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that we are still alive! We finally moved out of my mother's house and while we really appreciate her letting us stay there it was HELL.... I really believe what they say about putting 2 families in the same house now that YOU CAN'T! I just wanted to make a quick post tonight but I promise that I will post again tomorrow and tell you what has happened since the last time I posted. I hope that I still have the few readers that checked in it would be great to hear from yall again.
